2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS Unveiled, Engine Specs
Against all odds, Porsche did not wait for a motor show to lift the curtain on the Porsche 911 GT2 Rs. The nastiest of the 911 was unveiled during the presentation of Forza Motorsport 7, of which it will be the headliner.
These first shots of the 2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS confirm its course orientation with its large air inlets in its front shield, its huge brake calipers, and its gigantic rear wing. For the more technical details, we will have to wait a little longer. Porsche nevertheless announced in the past a power between 650 and 700 Ch confirming rumors of a power of 680 bhp.
As on the first 2019 Porsche 911 GT2 RS, this new opus will take over the block 3.8 liters of the turbo S which will be the subject of some optimizations. It will include two new big turbos and a water injection system already seen on the BMW M4 GTS. The 3.8-litre engine of the GT2 RS will also receive a lighter exhaust line and will be coupled to the seven-speed PDK box. This will allow the use of an electronic blockage of the differential. On the scale, the GT2 RS will remain below the bar of 1 500 kg and if Porsche did not give official figures, the 0 to 200 km/h would nevertheless be traveled in less than 9 seconds.
